Thesis Project
"Wonder Woman: Feminist Icon in a Post-Feminist World"
January 2018 - May 2018

As a Gender Studies minor at the University of Puget Sound, I was required to write a thesis on a topic of my choosing. I decided to discuss the new Wonder Woman (2017) film, and the ways in which is reveals the limitations of the current feminist movement.

My project focused on research and critical analysis of both Wonder Woman (2017), and post-feminism.

NUCL Research
March 2018

I submitted an academic paper to the board of the NUCL and was selected to present it in a panel discussion with other students and academics at the conference.

My paper focused on the use of historical fiction, discussing its importance in expressing the emotional meaning of historical events as well as constructing identity for the cultural groups affected by them.

"How I lost 50 pounds designing a mobile app" is an article written by Phil Rogan and published on Medium. The article outlines Rogan’s experience using a Microsoft application he was writing as a tool for motivating a healthier lifestyle.
I assisted Phil Rogan in editing and producing this article, giving me a chance to use my critical thinking and creative writing skills in a professional capacity. Upon request, I am happy to produce the original copy of the article including my extensive edits.

Homespun
Sails
September 2016 - December 2016

Homespun Sails is the official IES Abroad anthology. Currently the content is exclusive to the IES Abroad Dublin Writer’s and Irish Studies program, but the program’s intention is to expand the anthology to include writings and art from students in all of the IES programs.

I was part of the team that produced the anthology and was largely responsible for creating submission guidelines, design, and website building. I also wrote the opening paragraph featured on the website’s "About", the Dublin Fall 2016 statement, and contributed one of my own short stories, Perfect Strangers.
